Station Information

Site Description

Station Name: Chandler River Water Station
Location: Chandler River, 1 mile downstream of bluff station, near Umiat
Coordinates: 69.28319, 151.40412 (WGS 84)
Elevation: 80 m

Notes:

  • Elevation reference: WGS84

Station History

  • Water level sensors relocated from the Chandler Rver Bluff met station on 05/23/2011 to new mini station located approximately 1 mile downstream from bluff station down in the floodplain. Site consists of 2 new pressure transducers and an HMP45C Air Temperature/ Relative Humidity sensor. One TBM exists and a series of rebars at the edge of the channel for measuring water surface. Site will routinely flood so battery box and station needs to be secure.
