North Slope Mesonet Overview

The Water and Environmental Research Center has maintained a number of key climate and hydrologic environmental data stations on the North Slope for over 20 years. These stations have been established and supported by a number of research projects related to arctic hydrology, development, and climate change. The continued partnerships that WERC develops with state and federal agencies, industry and other researchers will help continue to improve the understanding of hydrology and environmental processes on the North Slope. The will benefit both ecosystem studies and resource management.
