Total carbon and total bound nitrogen analyses are available within the MAC lab. The available instrumentation can also differentiate organic carbon, inorganic carbon, and purgeable organic carbon. Filtration at 0.2 micron prior to analysis results in dissolved values. Measurement of the total bound nitrogen yields the sum of nitrate, nitrite, organic nitrogen, and ammonia.
