Visitor & Parking Information

The Institute of Northern Engineering is located in the Duckering Building at 306 Tanana Loop on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus (lower campus).

Parking

Short-term, metered parking is available close to the Duckering Building in parking lots 3A & 3C. Parking is payable through the kiosks located near each metered lot or via the Passport Parking App

Long-term parking is available in the Nenana parking lot (lots 4E-4F) and requires the purchase of a parking permit which can be obtained from designated kiosks. A shuttle service operates Monday - Friday from the Nenana parking lot to the south side of the Wood Center (Nenana Shuttle) or from the Nenana parking lot to the front steps of the Duckering building on Tanana Loop (Tanana Loop Shuttle).

New Parking Permit Prices – Parking permits will increase in price in the upcoming academic year 2017-2018. The Chancellor’s Core Cabinet approved the parking permit $10.00 increase. The last increase in permit prices was 5 years ago. You can view the new permit prices at New Decal Prices
