DESCRIPTION OF THE DATA SET
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The data contained in this CD-ROM is from research and survey at Caribou- Poker Creeks Research Watershed (CPCRW) since 1969. This data not only contains research results, but also maps and references.
This software displays data in a movie or library format. Software includes both source and executable formats, and runs on MS-DOS, Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX computer systems. Documentation for all data and the data itself, is included on disc in html format or JPEG format. Raw data is contained on disc in both ASCII text, Excel (for data), Canvas (for map) and acrobatreader (for publication).
This CD-ROM was produced in conformance with both the ISO 9660 and Macintosh HFS standards.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

This data set is intended for use on MS-DOS, Macintosh, and UNIX computer
systems. Included in the data set are plug-in programs for html browser program. Listed below are the minimum system requirements for each of the supported platforms;
the additional memory and display capabilities required by the graphical
software are noted. All the systems need html browser program, such as Internet Explorer(IE) or Netscape. We recommend users browse this CD by IE ver.3.0 or later version, Netscape ver.3.0 or later version.

MS- or PC-DOS version 3.3 or later
Microsoft MSCDEX version 2.1 or later
CD-ROM drive with ISO 9660 driver

HOW TO GET STARTED
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Users should make the CD-ROM drive the active drive.
Double click the "START" icon to go to main menu.
If you can not access CD for some reason. Please try to open file "main.htm" from your browser program. "main.htm" is located under the "map"directory.

Unix users:
To run the graphical display program such as xwindows, before start CD.
