This project studies how the rapid increase in numbers of beaver ponds in the Arctic is affecting fish and invertebrates in arctic streams.
Ph.D. student Sebastian Zavoico sampled beaver ponds, streams and lakes in 30 areas of remote arctic tundra.
130 filters from those samples were sent to a lab to test for DNA from multiple species.
