Katie has studied and worked in the field of biology, chemistry, and oceanography. In her current position with METAL, she appreciates the opportunity to combine these different disciplines to further the scientific understanding of ecology and marine biology. Much of Katie’s work has been in the intertidal or nearshore ecosystems, but she also enjoys working on projects spanning the continental shelf.
