Snow Survey (SWE)

C4 MET

Caribou Poker Creek

About 45 minutes out of Fairbanks, the site is frequently visited by WERC researchers. In summer the mode of transportation is four-wheelers and during the winter snow machines get people to the sites in the watershed. The meteorological data given here was taken at the C4 tower, which is a 10 meter tower. Snow water equivalents were obtained through the use of an Adirondak tube.
