My research involves understanding the channel response to the gravel mine from Sagavanirktok river used for maintenance of the northern part of Dalton Highway and Trans-Alaska Pipeline. The hydrological characteristics of the river channel and its response to the sediment transport rates will assist the Dalton Highway, Alaska which is the major road transportation to the Prudhoe Bay oil field located at North Slope, Alaska.
