• How will aquatic habitats and fish communities respond to arctic climate change?
    • Chris Arp (Research Associate Professor, WERC)
    • March 10, 2017

Arctic climate is changing rapidly, particularly in coastal plain regions. Wetlands, lakes, streams, and rivers of the Arctic Coastal Plain provide a diverse mosaic of habitats for arctic freshwater fish communities. Hydrologic connectivity and overwintering habitat should respond to new climate regimes in predictable ways providing a template for better predicting changes in arctic fish communities.
