Ground-Water Modeling on High-Performance
Computing Platforms

What Are Our Goals?

WERC, USGS, and Arctic Region Supercomputing Center (ARSC) are investigating the applications of USGS ground-water numerical modeling codes on High-Performance Computing (HPC) platforms. The issues of distributed users, visualization tools, and numerical enhancements are important HPC topics. ARSC is supported by the U.S. Department of Defense, High Performance Computing Modernization Program. Project applications benefit local environmental programs in the Fort Wainwright and Fairbanks areas. Project efforts associated Fort Wainwright are coordinated with U.S. Army Alaska and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District.
