    • Mean, subtidal circulation
    • Ice-ocean-atmosphere interactions
    • Landfast ice dynamics
    • Relationships between geological, biological, physical processes and climate
    • Fate of Arctic coastlines in a changing climate


  • Ocean modeling using the Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS)
  • Numerical and analytical techniques for solving PDEs & ODEs
  • Analyzing observational oceanographic data sets
  • Ship and field based observations including
  • Ship-based hydrographic techniques
  • Moored observations of water column hydrography and velocity
  • Experience with installing, operating and maintaining CodarOS Seasondes
