This Wednesday, February 15th, AUTC researcher Dr. Andrew Metzger, Assistant Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, will give a presentation to the Fairbanks branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
His presentation will examine the feasibility and technical challenges of developing a port in the U.S. Arctic. Metzger’s expertise in this area has been sought recently by a range of stakeholders from the media to the U.S. Senate.
His lecture will begin at 12:00 noon, and run through 1:00pm. The presentation will commence at the Yukon Room, at the Westmark Fairbanks Hotel and Conference Center (813 Noble Street, Fairbanks, Alaska).
The cost of attendance is $15.00, including lunch.
